Community Relations Chair
The Community Relations Chair makes recommendations of community service projects or programs that can be supported by our chapter, HR professionals and businesses. Through building alliances with other groups, organizations, chambers we can better serve our local community and spread awareness of causes that can support our military/veteran community, workforce readiness, homelessness, hunger and families in need. Working closely with our Board of Directors, specifically: Workforce Readiness, College Relations, Programs, Diversity and Inclusion and our SAHRMA Volunteers to provide volunteer resources and/or donation drives to groups/organizations within the community. Building relationships with community partners that can be mutually beneficial and inviting leaders or representatives to our meetings to share their programs. Creating marketing materials and representing our chapter within our community.
If you are looking to make a difference within our SHRM chapter and community, joining the Community Relations Committee might just be for you! This is a brand new Committee Chair for SAHRMA, and so very much needed within our diversity city. No monthly meeting has been set as yet as it's a committee of one - "Me", but I welcome you to fill out a volunteer interest form and I will be happy to connect with you one on one.
